Our Qualifications

Robert Israel founded Long Island Planning Group, Ltd. in 1975. Long Island Planning Group is an insurance firm, which represents more than two dozen insurance companies. 

 

Robert is a Cum Laude graduate of Queens College. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Life and Qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a multiple winner of the Blue Vase. In addition to these achievements, Bob is also a member of Phoenix’s Portrait Hall of Fame, a ten-time qualifier for the President’s Club and a four-time member of the Director’s Club. He has won prestigious industry awards, including the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award. Bob is a member of NAIFA, The Senior Umbrella Network, Nassau County Estate Planning Council and the Nassau County Chapter of CLU. In the past, Bob has held a position as Vice President of the Suffolk County Estate Planning Council, Chairman of the Advocacy Committee of The Senior Umbrella Network and was a member of the Service Advisory Board of the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation.

 

Bob is frequently asked to speak before senior organizations, charities and professional groups comprised of CPAs and attorneys.    His seminars explore the areas of long-term care insurance, estate planning, pensions and health insurance. Past audiences include The National Conference of CPA Practitioners, AARP, The Senior Umbrella Network and The Estate Planning Council of Nassua County, The Estate Planining Council of Suffolk County,The Association of Professional Financial Consultants. 

 

Bob lives in Jericho with his wife and is the father of two grown daughters. In his personal time Bob enjoys basketball, travel and music.
